Impact 50 winners in 2026 PR awards

Grow Social Capital director and co-founder, Andy Green was recently recognised as one of the country’s leading public relations practitioners in the Impact 50 awards.

The awards, supported by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, celebrate the achievements of outstanding work by consultants.

Andy was recognised for his wide-ranging campaigning work including tackling growing social division in Britain and his contribution to advancing the communications industries.

As well as working with Grow Social Capital, Andy is a part-time lecturer in public relations at Boston University.

Recent achievements include a national campaign with Billy Bragg, Caroline Lucas, and Sir Sajid Javid tackling growing division and polarisation around English national identity; co-founding the Modern Cockney Festival which is moving the dial in addressing the marginalisation of working-class cultures; and in Wales creating a virtual museum telling The Story of Splott in 50 Objects.

The award also recognised Andy being the co-founder of a global community of academics and practitioners called the Dublin Conversations which is developing new thinking and tools to enable the communications industries to be fitter for purpose to tackle wider societal challenges.

Andy is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Commerce, and Manufactures. He is the author of six books on brand communications translated into eight languages, including ‘Creativity in Public Relations’ – the world’s first book on the subject.

In his local community he serves as a Board member of the Barry War Museum and Heritage Centre CIC, and a member of the Barry Placemaking Partnership. Outside of work, he is a keen member of Barry Tennis Club and Barry Town United Walking Football Club.

Commenting on his award win, Andy Green said:

“It’s a great honour to have your work and contribution to the industry recognised. Our social enterprise combines communications and community development, to work hand-in-hand for delivering social change”
