We were thrilled to be featured in last Saturday’s edition of The Guardian alongside Caroline Lucas, Kojo Koram and Billy Bragg for the launch of A Very English Chat, our approach for engaging people in a far less toxic, polarising and more inclusive way of discussing that very messy of concepts: Englishness.
Billy Bragg chose Marmite as one of the objects that’s he choose while former Green Party leader and MP Caroline Lucas chose The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band LP.
Billy goes a little deeper on his Facebook page about what Englishness means to him.
What would you choose to express the concept of Englishness? It could be a cultural motif, a building, a famous person living or dead, an event, a landmark.
